Who are we ?

Our Story

Founded in 2020, Le Cristal Ligérien is the result of the hard work of a mineralogy enthusiast and a family history.

Born in 1983, I, David GENOT, divide my time from a very young age, my weekends, between prospecting and shows in which my parents exhibited.

As a young adult, I set up on my own as a taxi-craftsman but was soon caught up by my passion for « pebbles ».

That’s why, in 2018, I decided to stop my job to launch myself professionally into what I’ve always loved, mineralogy.

In order to continue what my father Jean GENOT had started, I am currently setting up a small « private museum » to exhibit the 50 years of my father’s collection. This « show-room », open to all free of charge, will house more than 1500 mineral species and 500 fossils.

In this way, I hope to continue to bring this family collection to life and thus share this magnificent passion with whoever wants it.
