Amethyst is part of the large family of Quartz, it is therefore a Silicate (Sio 2). It holds its purple color by the presence of iron in its composition.
The base of the crystals is whitish with an increasingly intense purple towards the tip, typical of this deposit known worldwide for its magnificent specimens of Amethyst.
