Piece of heart that this magnificent Crystallization of Chrysocolle on Malachite from the famous deposit of the Mine de l’Etoile in Congo.
This Chrysocolla piece is very cute and very interesting mineralogically. On this specimen, you can see the secondary crystallization of Chrysocolla on Malachite. The contrast is really nice. TOP colour !!!

The Chrysocolla is part of the great family of Copper minerals giving it this magnificent Blue color. It is therefore a Copper Hydroxide Silicate.
Malachite, another Copper mineral crystallized here in nipples, is thus covered by the Chrysocolla, it is thus a Perimorphosis (Péri = around).
